New projects for 2011-2012 Smiles The association decided to continue for 2011 and 2012 his involvement with the school's wood ESK. It appeals to the funds for the following:
Development SPEs The main objective 2011-2012 is the mission of developing childcare facilities at the school.
recruitment to double this year, it becomes necessary to provide a suitable structure.
Three objectives will be implemented from 2011:
· The acquisition of additional land adjacent to the school of wood
· Construction of a "sala" hall MFP, designed for French language courses
· Construction of a kiln
We will continue in a second time following goals :
· The construction of the house employees
· Construction of a multi-field sport, football, volleyball, basketball
The acquisition of new land
We envisage the acquisition of land that is adjacent to the school of wood. During our mission in April 2010 we began negotiations with the current owner, and we reached an agreement on price and transaction time.
This land has an area of 2165 m2, we will expand our facilities, including all the projects we are looking at 2011-2012.
Construction Sala
The wage in Cambodia is the main place to live in a village, community or another. We therefore envisage the construction of the multipurpose room which will be primarily dedicated to students, with particular emphasis on installing a language laboratory.
plans were established by Tanaka You, architect DPLG. The ranges of manufacturing operational structure will be performed by Stephen Chapple, companion, and by students BTS Peter Joel Carpenter High School Goodness (Riom 63).
The construction mission will be led by Denis Brunet, president of the NGO SMILES, and professor at the Lycée Albert Londres Cusset (03), high school Joel Goodness Pierre Riom (63), and the college of Navarre St. Jean Pied de Port (64).
equipment inside the sala
We hope that this equipment is as versatile as possible,
Two new classrooms will be installed within one laboratory for the French language, seconds for Educational Technology-related carpentry.
also the internal partitions are fully removable to allow us to have a room for the various receptions that are held within the school, the floor area is 110 m2.
furniture that will equip this space will be entirely produced by students of the school of wood.
Construction of a kiln
It is very difficult to find dry wood in Cambodia, and wood provided the school has a humidity level too high, which prevents it from being operated in good conditions. The use of wood not dry cracks leads to furniture manufactured in the workshop of the school.
drying properly conducted should allow the wood to dry quickly enough without distortion and without alterations.
The objective of drying is to find good agreement between the air temperature and humidity, in order to achieve fast drying and perfect.
We will again in Cambodia innovator in the field, as many local artisans looking forward to this installation. Currently in school we get wood wood saturated with moisture (90%) who did not allow us to work under optimum conditions (between 15% and 20%), it is imperative to complete this project.
This construction leads us to acquire the land adjacent to the school of wood.
Development of Vocational Training post degree
We want young people after graduation, can immediately benefit from a supervised work experience.
Create a standard structure "cooperative" Voa Sar Coop
In this approach, we will post within the local economy by working with other Cambodian professionals (sawyer, carpenter, bricklayer, material supplier).
In developing this activity, we seek to generate employment and thus the economic integration of young local school wood.
Voa Sar will have the status of COOP Cooperative, this means that society will not only consist of employees but also associated contributors, volunteers who will interact throughout the year by the monitoring committees. The benefits of the cooperative investment will be used in the school wood and investment to the cooperative.
The project will be carried and implemented by Ludovic DRANO, French companion working in Cambodia since April 2009 in the school wood. His knowledge of the local economy, the market for wood construction make it a key player in this project.
It will act as project manager and will develop activity. He will be responsible for recruiting workers, which will mostly come from the school of wood, find markets, management, coordination of personnel and financial management Voa Sar COOP.
The initial investment will require the purchase of a construction vehicle, and portable woodworking equipment.
Voa Sar COOP will self-financing within two years.
The launch of the cooperative is scheduled for December 2010.
