The Design Biennale in Saint Etienne opened its doors today. Less than an hour by train from Lyon and St Etienne with the station-Carnot next to the exhibition, access was easy. Good to know there is a special fare to get there by train, see here, and what park the bike, even its Velomobile in the courtyards. This year under the title "The City Mobile ", there was enough interest to the city that I am beautiful (re) discoveries, and other (re) inventions sometimes surprising.
In things noticed on this visit, we must of course do not miss the hall on the "mobile city": airlines for cycles, bicycle exhibition Moulton, Birdy, and other prototypes, Velomobile Waw, TWiki and other vehicles. Other great ideas as representations of these cities, and activity in these cities: for example visual representations of the activity of mobile networks for some major events (Festival of Lights in Lyon music festival in Paris etc. ...). The second hall "comfort" we became more obscure, particularly esoteric descriptions of the objects presented. Maybe we did miss a guide in this universe? Not so much hanging in the world of teleportation but some facilities, such as the capture of the clouds were very pleased with both large and small. The rooms on design in Japan brought a little change of scenery, and offers beautiful pieces not to be missed! Great achievements in the lobby of industrialists also a trailer / tent Surprisingly, an original bike storage, and around vehicles 2 or 3 wheels, to see in this short gallery (and below).
In summary, a beautiful biennial that illuminated this day a little gray in November!
